At Dundalk Physical Therapy our approach to your treatment will be tailored to suit your needs and desired outcome. We only treat our patients in a private 1-on-1 setting to give you the best outcome possible. Within your consultation you will be guided through a comprehensive medical history and physical examination to determine exactly what your problem is and outline the most effective treatment program possible.
At the end of your initial assessment we will give you a detailed Patient Action Plan and estimated recovery time so you know exactly what to expect.
Your physical therapist will use a combination of:
- Joint mobilization and manipulation.
- Rehabilitation exercises to restore strength, stability and healthy movement patterns.
- Myofascial and soft tissue release.
- Trigger point therapy.
- Neurodynamic mobilization.
- Sports specific performance and injury prevention programs.
- Postural assessment and correction.
- Lifestyle assessment and modification.
At Dundalk Physical Therapy a large portion of our treatments focus on hands-on soft tissue release and joint mobilization techniques to improve function and in turn relieve pain. This is supported by a PATIENT ACTION PLAN specific to your needs. We look at the person as a whole when performing our assessment taking into account not only structural and biomechanical factors that may be contributing to your condition but also dietary, emotional, and social, with the aim to reducing or where possible eliminating these factors.
Identifying the underlying cause of your symptoms allows us to make more lasting changes to your quality of life. Sometimes this may require the inclusion of other health care professionals, in which case referral can be arranged.
